Mesh reinforced silicone hose: a platinum-cured silicone bore, two braid plies (cotton standard) and an outer silicone jacket, bonded into one 4.5 mm wall. Seven published sections from ID 19 mm to 102 mm, burst 0.49–1.47 MPa, bend radii 54–360 mm, −40 °C to +200 °C, food and medical grade silicone.
A mesh reinforced silicone hose is a large-bore silicone hose built as four layers: a platinum-cured silicone bore, two braid plies and an outer silicone jacket, bonded into one wall. The two plies hold the bore against pressure and vacuum, the jacket keeps the braid covered, and the hose stays flexible and clean from −40 °C to +200 °C.
ID 19–102 mmTwo braid plies−40 °C to +200 °CBurst 0.49–1.47 MPaFood and medical gradeFour layers, built in one extrusion and braiding sequence. The bore is a platinum-cured, high-transparency silicone tube. Over it sit two braid plies: the first binds the bore, the second carries the rest of the hoop load. An outer silicone jacket closes the sandwich, so the braid is covered and the hose keeps a smooth outside wall.
Two plies are what make the large bores work. A single braid on a 102 mm bore would let the wall bulge between the yarns; the second ply closes that gap, which is why the wall can stay at 4.5 mm across the whole range instead of growing with the bore. The same two plies hold the bore open under vacuum — the usual reason a buyer moves from a plain tube to a reinforced hose.
Cotton is the standard yarn. The braid can be run in other yarns on request, so a line can be matched to its duty rather than the other way round. Nominal hardness is 70 Shore A; tensile strength is ≥ 8.6 MPa, elongation at break ≥ 360% and tear strength ≥ 32 kN/m on the silicone compound. The small-bore construction in the same family is described in how the three-layer polyester braid is built.
Not for human implantation.
These are the sections we publish figures for. The wall stays at 4.5 mm across the range and the burst figure falls as the bore grows: 1.47 MPa at ID 19 mm, 0.49 MPa at ID 102 mm. That is normal for a reinforced hose — the same two plies are carrying a much larger diameter, so the load per metre of yarn goes up.

Burst values are minimums, given in MPa. Each pack holds 1–4 m; cut lengths and coils are quoted per order.
A bore outside this list, or a different braid count for a specific pressure, is quoted per project: the bore is set at the die and the braid on the machine, so it is an order rather than a new product line.
The burst figure is a minimum, measured on a new hose. We do not publish one working pressure for the whole range, because the right working pressure is the burst figure divided by the factor your process, standard or customer drawing requires. A 19 mm line and a 102 mm line in the same plant rarely use the same factor.
Tell us the bore, the fluid, the temperature and the factor. The quote carries the working pressure for your line rather than a headline number that would be wrong for most of them.
Both are silicone, both are clean and both are flexible. The braid is what changes the job: it is the difference between a tube that carries fluid and a hose that holds its shape while it does.
| Property | Mesh reinforced hose | Plain silicone tube |
|---|---|---|
| Reinforcement | Two braid plies between bore and jacket | None — silicone wall only |
| Vacuum | Bore stays open under full vacuum | Collapses inward |
| Kinking | Resists kinking at the published bend radius | Kinks and closes under a tight bend |
| Large bores | Reaches ID 102 mm with a 4.5 mm wall | Gets stiff and heavy well before that |
| Bore stability | Holds its bore under pressure, so flow stays steady | Bore grows under pressure |
If the line runs at atmospheric pressure and you only need flexibility, a plain tube is the cheaper answer. If the line sees vacuum, a pump pulse or a long unsupported run, the reinforced build is the one that keeps its bore. For smaller bores at higher pressure, the three-layer braided silicone hose range is the closer fit — the two families do not share burst figures, so compare them on the page that matches your bore.
Milk, syrup, juice and CIP lines where a large bore has to stay cleanable and transparent.
Media and product transfer where the bore is platinum-cured and the braid stays covered.
Filter feed, backwash and dosing runs that see pump pulses and vacuum on the suction side.
Platinum-cured bore with no peroxide residue and no plasticiser to migrate into the medium.
Two plies hold the bore open on suction runs, which is where a plain tube collapses.
Repeatable bore, published burst figure and a fixed cut length for a machine that ships.
The hose is the last step of a chain we control from the compound up: raw material, compounding and the finished hose are handled by three affiliated companies, and Yutian ships the hose you buy.
Silicone raw material and compound development, 28,000 m² site.
Compounding, auxiliaries and batch control before extrusion.
Extrusion, braiding and finishing in a 6,800 m² plant.
Cotton is the standard yarn. The braid can be run in other yarns on request, so the hose matches the duty rather than the other way round.
Seven published sections from ID 19 to 102 mm, cut to length or coiled, ends bare for your own end treatment.
Transparent is standard. Opaque and tinted compounds follow a Pantone reference.
Fittings, clamps and connectors are supplied through partner manufacturers; they are not made in-house, but an assembled hose can ship as one part number.
One note that saves a round of samples: the braid is what carries the burst load, so a pressure target is met by changing the braid count and the wall, not by thickening the bore. Tell us the working pressure and the bore, and the quote names the construction.
Ship in 5 to 7 working days from stock compounds.
Stock samples leave in 3 days and are free; freight is paid by the buyer.
10 to 20 working days, depending on the yarn and the end treatment.
A bore or construction outside the published sections is quoted per project, with tooling at USD 100–400 per product.
Material compliance: FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, NSF/ANSI 51, LFGB, REACH and RoHS. The plant runs an ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality system, and ISO 10993 biocompatibility reports are issued on request. Certificates travel with the shipment; third-party testing is arranged when your process needs a report rather than a certificate.
Limits worth stating up front: this is a silicone hose, not a hydraulic hose. Where a drawing calls for a high-pressure hydraulic or fuel line, the material is the wrong one and we will say so. The hose is not for human implantation.
The hose is extruded, braided and jacketed on 14 extrusion lines, 4 calendering lines and 7 moulding presses in a Class 100,000 cleanroom, at a monthly capacity of up to 8 million metres, since 2012.

Burst is 0.49–1.47 MPa depending on the bore, measured as a minimum on a new hose. Working pressure is the burst figure divided by the safety factor your process requires, and we quote that per line rather than publishing one headline number.
Yes. Two braid plies hold the bore open instead of letting the wall collapse, which is the usual reason a buyer moves from a plain tube to a reinforced hose on a suction line.
−40 °C to +200 °C continuous, the standard range for the silicone compound used in this hose.
The compound is supported by FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, NSF/ANSI 51, LFGB, REACH and RoHS documentation, and finished-part reports including ISO 10993 are issued per project on request. The hose is not for human implantation.
Published sections ship in 5 to 7 working days, and stock samples leave in 3 days. Custom constructions take 10 to 20 working days. Stock samples are free; freight is paid by the buyer.
